the exhibition LIGHTS FRAGMENTS AFTER SEPTEMBER 11-10 YEARS, with works of Maria Pia Barberi, Johanne Kristin Berg, Thomas Maes, Teresa Picornell, curated by Costanzo Costantini and Floriana Tondinelli . The day of 11 September 2001 shocked everyone, not just the United States, the art is also a time of reflection, this is the message that artists want to express in this exhibition, the artists chosen from the countries above are a representation of the fact that this event has touched the minds and people around the world.
The gallery presented an exhibition presented in 2002 in tribute to victims of 11 September 2001, and on the occasion of the anniversary of 10 years has not heard the memories of that terrible moment, as well as the hope that such serious events can not be repeated.
Maria Pia Barberi (Peru), born in Peru, when she was only five years his family moved to Spain where she lived for more than ten years. Her extensive travel experience has had a great effect on his artistic development. Back in Peru is still very impressed from pre-Columbian. The artist wants to join in her work, the European tradition and Peru. The themes of her work vary, but all have a common basis the emotional side, to represent the soul or essence of all human beings who are struggling and seeking the light.
Kristin Johanne Berg (Norway), Norwegian artist presents works exhibited in the gallery in a research made in detail and overlays of colors, making surface forms. The momentum of expression tells the Norwegian landscape, as well as pale and rarefied atmosphere. And 'the submerged air represented by the artist, where time stands still, and enveloping everything in its path. A restless beauty is that which well represents the artist, where the lights are dimmed and every accent of color defines the contours.
Thomas Maes (Belgium), painting by Belgian artist is the favorite theme of the dream, the dialogue between man and environment. The colors are the pastel shades with delicate forms are also well-defined, the atmosphere is hanging in the balance between past, present and future. We are in another dimension to a parallel world, suspended in a living space that has its rules, its smells, its lights. We are allowed to access, just imagine, the artist leads us to the mystery of existence, thus questioning the quota of the real world, its illusion-disillusion.
Teresa Picornell (Spain), the works of Teresa Picornell operating in Palma de Mallorca, want to tell a story, a bridge between past and present. The artist who is exhibiting for the fifth time in Italy experienced in this last cycle of new media works, with new color options. Each work is a story of an inner experience, which the artist expresses through layers of colors and with a formal research tied to multiform expressions. In this new cycle is superimposed on the painting by creating a wider dimension.
